Colour variances & grain:

  • Please note that every piece of wood is unique, it is a natural material and has its own unique grain, pattern & colouring. It is therefore impossible to provide orders in similar colours of wood, especially Meranti due to the large colour variance in the raw material. All wood has colour variation and no claims will be entertained for this.Due to the natural colour variation of the wood, all our stained products will also have natural colour variation
  • All samples and images supplied are only an indication of the product and not an exact colour as colour will vary on each individual piece of wood.
  • Samples for stains are also only an indication of the stain colour and will have natural colour variation depending on the wood. Should the client want an exact colour we suggest using a painted finish or a wrapped mdf skirting.
  • For stained finishes we recommend the use of Saligna or Oak as these materials have the most uniform colouring
  • Wood may have some knots, although we purchase mainly clear wood it may happen that some material have minor knots/defects in the grain which is a natural occurrence.

Product lengths:

  • Solid wooden product such as skirting & quadrants lengths will vary and can be anything between 2.4 and 3.9 meters long
  • Profiles and exotic products can start from 1.8m up to 4.2m
  • MDF (Supawood) is supplied in 2.7m lengths only.
  • If you require certain lengths please confirm if we have the lengths required in stock prior to ordering, no returns will be accepted on “incorrect lengths” supplied unless confirmed in writing with SA Skirting

Claims:

For any claims relating to excessive bowing or warping please note that:

  • You are advised not to install the product
  • Once the products have been installed no claims will be entertained
  • Claims for colour variance or specific lengths will not be entertained

Delivery:

  • When taking delivery of our products please check for any damages before signing for the delivery, any damages reported after the products have been signed for will not be entertained.
  • Should a client choose to use their own courier or delivery method we will not be held liable for any damages that may occur during transport.
  • We deliver only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 09:00 and 17:00

Incorrect material, profile, or colour:

  • All orders are manufactured according the the clients specifiactions, should the client indicate an incorrect material, profile or colour the costs to rectify the mistake will be for the clients account. In some cases an incorrect profile can be rectified for a small fee but this will only be at the discretion of management and only when and if possible.

Returns & Cancellations:

  • Cancellations can only be done within 30 minutes of placing an order, once an order is received it is put into production and can no longer be changed. Urgent orders can not be cancelled once received.
  • All products are made to order and as such can not be returned for refund or credit.
  • Any returns will only be at the discretion of management and with prior approval.

Lead Times:

  • Raw products require a lead time of approximately 2-4 working days and is dependent on the quantity ordered and delivery location.
  • Pre-finished products require a lead time of approximately 3-6 working days and is dependent on the quantity ordered and delivery location.
