Crafted from SA Clear Pine, our skirting boards are free from large knots and imperfections often found in lower-grade pine available at hardware stores. We use only full-length solid timber, ensuring a seamless and professional finish with no unsightly joins.

As a softwood, Pine is lighter and less dense than hardwood alternatives, which makes it easier to work with but also more prone to denting, bowing, and warping—especially in humid or damp environments. That’s why we recommend storing pine skirtings in a cool, dry area prior to installation to maintain shape and quality.

Versatile in finish, Pine skirting can be clear varnished for a natural timber look or stained to suit a variety of interior styles. However, due to its grain and absorption properties, stains may not take as deeply as they do on hardwoods like Saligna or Meranti.
